Life When I'm Offline
Aug 14, 2025
You’re probably here for the first time — maybe you stumbled upon my website while browsing, or maybe you’re genuinely curious about what it’s like to work with me. Either way, hi! Let’s do a quick intro.
I’m Rhiye, 29, born and raised in the Philippines, living about an hour outside Manila. I’ve been working from home as a freelancer for the past six years, collaborating with brands across the globe. Over time, I’ve learned a lot about my work, my clients, and (most surprisingly) myself.
But this year feels different. It’s the last lap of my twenties — a strange, exciting, and slightly terrifying milestone. Year 29 is the year I did something I never thought I’d do: I signed up for a gym membership.
Why was that such a big deal? Well…
I had zero knowledge about fitness.
At 5’6” and 132 lbs, I never really thought my body needed the gym.
I’ve always eaten moderately, so I figured, what’s the point?
Turns out, the point was me.
Two months in, I’m feeling more confident, less anxious, and (unexpectedly) less afraid of people — which might have something to do with the fact that I’ve spent the last six years working in my own little home-office bubble.
Working in the health, wellness, supplements, and beauty space has definitely influenced me, too. Being surrounded by inspiring brands and stories made me want to invest in my own health journey, not just talk about it.
Taking care of myself has made me show up better for my clients, my work, and honestly, my life.
And when I say “show up better,” I mean I now create content from the heart. My niche — helping both e-commerce and personal brands in the health, fitness, and wellness space — lets me approach content from two angles:
As a consumer who genuinely enjoys and benefits from the industry.
As a marketer who understands how to reach, engage, and inspire a community.
This dual perspective has helped me improve community management, understand audiences on a deeper level, and create strategies that resonate.
Watching my clients grow over the years has been its own motivation. Their wins fuel my own — and they inspire me to keep growing alongside them, so I can keep showing up as my best self.
That’s where I’m at right now — showing up for myself so I can show up better for others, and learning to enjoy every step along the way. ✨
